Whiteman is a Yale Graduate and was team captain of Yale’s baseball team. He was a ninth round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft and he was selected by the San Francisco Giants. Whiteman was recently named Baseball America’s Defensive Player of the year in 2019. He will be reporting to Giants Minor League Camp in March of 2020.
